Mother's Day

We had a wonderful Mother's Day!! My wonderful husband came home off shift and brought me 2 dozen roses and a Starbucks!! He knows I have to have my starbucks everyday!! We got ready and left for church and listened to a great message. Every year our church has a group called "World vision" come to our church and talk about this Christian humanitarian Organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the cause of poverty and injustice. We have added 4 more children to our family!! Its a great way to explain to our kids and especially Austyn since he understands and he can't wait to send them b-day presents and draw them pictures. We get to send them gifts whenever we want, and just see how appreciative they are of something that is so BIG to them and small to us!!
After church everyone came over for a BBQ and it was great since we didn't have to go try and eat out and fight all the crowds. The kids played, got dirty and Haydyn even ate Cheesecake!! On Thursday Austyn had a Mother's Tea at his school and he served me a butterfly bagel with apple juice it was so sweet!! Enjoy the pictures!!

AWANA

Austyn completed his first year of AWANA'S tonight. Austyn learned over 30 bible verses this year and had to memorize 1-2 a week and repeat them back to his teacher weekly. Not only does he have to repeat the verse but also where in scripture it came from. When he said his verse every week he got a patch on his vest. Its a great program and such a great feeling as a parent knowing that your child loves JESUS so much and is already knowing GODS WORD and the TRUTH!! We are so proud of you buddy, keep up the good work!!

Faith and Family Night

Saturday was another busy day for us. Austyn had another soccer game and scored 2 goals this week. YAH YAH!! I am getting so into these games, they are so fun to watch and I guess I am a soccer mom now!! On Saturday night our church had a section at the Diamondbacks game for Faith and Family Night. It was AWESOME!! Jim Cevezial (he played Jesus in Passion of the Christ, Play it Forward, Deja Vu) threw the first pitch and he actually gave his testimony at church the next day. Cory got to be his body guard for all 6 services at church and said it was an amazing experience to be backstage with him and to get to know him much better. Back to the game.....we stayed and watched the Diamondbacks win and afterwards Todd Agnew gave a concert for over 150 churches. It was a late night but well worth it and so great to worship to an AWESOME GOD!! Thanks mom for watching Haydyn for us!!

Playdate and Soccer game

On Friday's we meet with moms from our church and we get together and do play dates with our kids. This past Friday we went to Chuparosa park in Chandler and it was great because they had a splash pad also, so when the kids got hot they would run over to that and cool off! Of course its still not that HOT yet, but they loved it! On Saturday Austyn had his soccer game and YES my son scored his first goal!! He stole the ball from the other end and took it all the way down the field and scored!! I love that Austyn is so into sports and is my little athlete already. He is so aggressive and as many of you know has no FEAR so that can be a good thing and a bad thing I guess???? Cory loves that he has no fear and is aggressive at sports but sometimes I don't! It must be a mom thing!!

Haydyn loves her baths!!

Haydyn can be in the worst mood and all you need to do is put her in the bathtub and she is HAPPY! Auntie Brea came over for dinner the other night and decided to give the kids a bath and also put Haydyn's hair in a little Mohawk!! Of course Haydyn is getting a kick out of it and has no clue whats going on. I just love her little chubby body especially her legs. She is much bigger at this age than Austyn ever was, but I love it. Everyone says "Alicia she is really big" and I use to get worried but I love it and know as soon as she starts walking it will come off. I love my chunky monkey!!
