Rock and Worship Road Show

On Friday night we took Austyn to his first concert!!! They had 5 artist...Addison Road, HawkNelson, Tenth Avenue North, Jeremy Camp and Mercy ME. Austyn LOVED Hawk Nelson and Tenth Avenue North...it was so AWESOME to look down the row and see my little boy WORSHIPPING to an AMAZING GOD and he new most of the songs. We went with our friends from church and had a great time. It was only $10 bucks to get in per person, but it was open seating so trying to keep everyone together and get a descent seat was really hard, so everyone stayed together well, but we sat up in the nose bleed sections...It was GREAT!! I think we all where spoiled from the Chris Tomlin concert sitting 5 rows up!!! It was hard to get a lot of pictures with so many of us, but I got some !!! It was a great night and can't wait for the next concert!!!

Austyn's 1st Hospital visit!!

Austyn's hospital visit

Last night Austyn was playing out back on his swing set, being Indiana Jones. I was upstairs with Haydyn and Cory had just yelled to come down stairs because dinner was done. As, I am coming through the dining room into the kitchen I see Austyn falling down from the top of the monkey bars off his swing set. I yell his name and run ( I think I just jumped from my kitchen to my backyard) which that's what it felt like. As I approach him he is face down with his arms behind him and I am calling his name and getting NO RESPONSE!! Just about that time Cory is there and tells me to call 911!! That felt like forever also, trying to get through with my dead cell-phone first, than I decided that wasn't working so lets try and FIND the house phone!! Gotta love GODS timing!!! GFD shows up and Cory had him still on his back and he was out cold for about minute so when he woke up he was kicking and screaming like he didn't know where he was. They asked us where we wanted to take him they gave me 2 options...Desert or Phoenix Children's...Cory said Phoenix children's. I for some reason didn't plan on taking him at all in an ambulance I guess I didn't know what I was thinking at that time!!! The ambulance gets here and they take him with Cory , so I could figure out how I was going to get there with Haydyn and drive myself with as uptight as I was!! Thanks to my saving GRACE sister she came and drove me to the hospital while my neighbor took Haydyn until my mom could get her. We got to PCH and they said he was answering all the questions correctly and they wanted to do a CAT-SCAN just to be safe. HE did so well getting that procedure done and getting his IV in he didn't even shed ONE tear!! He is such my strong little boy!! They came back and told us his neck and head was just fine, and that he took a hit like Anquin Boldin from the Cardinals!!! He got a back concussion and needed to be monitored over night. This whole thing could have been way worse, than it was!!! I praise GOD that he is OK today and still able to move and walk. You always think the worse and for him to be knocked out for a good solid minute was enough to throw us over the edge...I also was so GLAD Cory was home, because I would have been a wreck trying to keep this all together. We are home now and he is doing GREAT!! I am sure he will still try and get back up to the top of his monkey bars today!!! THE KID HAS NO FEAR!!!

Austyn's 5th birthday party!!

Today my baby boy turned "5"!!! I still can't believe how fast the time has flew by, but I love it!! Austyn wanted a football-theme party, so we had it gridiron style!! Yesterday, Austyn had 2 parties...one with some of his friends and later that evening we had family over for a BBQ!! We had a great time and Austyn really enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Cory and I have really enforced on Austyn that b-day parties are not about all the gifts its about spending time with your friends and family. I have to say he did an amazing job of that. After opening up all his gifts from the friends party and the family party, he still just went back to playing with his friends and waited until that evening to open up and actually want to play with a toy!! All of his buddies came over and they made football jerseys, ate hot-dogs, played a football game, broke a football pinata, ate cake and played some more!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!!! WE LOVE YOU!!

Wednesday night we had a reunion with my girlfriends that I was on Pom with at Mountain View. One of the Girls that was on the pomline with us is the head pom coach at U of A so we went and watched her girls perform at Xavier, because they leave for Nationals today in Florida!! We had so much fun catching up and seeing what everyone has been up to. It's crazy how the 5 of us where in separable in high school and now we have gone so long without talking. Thanks to face book we all reconnected!!! It was such a blessing to me to be able to meet these friends for dinner and be able to see how GOD has worked in there lives over the past 11 years. HE IS SO GOOD!! They have such beautiful children, beautiful themselves and just HAPPY!! Thanks ladies for a fun evening and bringing back such great memories of high school and being on pom together!!

Haydyn

We are home!!! Haydyn is doing well this afternoon and is "almost" back to her self. The surgery took about 30 minutes and the doctor came out when she was finished and said her adenoids were VERY large and when she went to remove them they just poured out with puss!! I am glad we made that decision to remove them. Haydyn had a really hard time coming out of the anasthesia , she was screaming and throwing herself everywhere for about and hour. Of course the nurses said this is "normal" but coming from a mother's view its really hard to see. She wouldn't open her eyes and wanted nothing to do with Cory or I, which was heart breaking. AFter that was all said and done she crashed!!! We had to hang out in the recovery room while they monitored her so when she woke up she didn't do it again. When she woke up we went walking down the hall-way and she saw her Gamppas and went with open arms!!!
Thank you to everyone for all the kind words and for all my prayer warriors out their praying for us........GOD IS SO GOOD!!
Blessings,
Cory, Alicia, Austyn and Haydyn
